Providing Better Health & Nutrition

Improve the maternity ward at Pipeline Health Center in Paynesville, Liberia, West Africa.

Liberia has one of the highest maternal and infant mortality rates in the world. The Pipeline Health Center is a lifeline for many families, but the maternity ward is operating beyond capacity. The current facilities are outdated and inadequate to meet the growing demand. Many mothers have to give birth in its only and often overcrowded delivery room, and they lack the necessary medical equipment to ensure safe deliveries and proper neonatal care.

Our goal is to provide safe, modern, and compassionate care to the increasing number of expectant mothers in the community. With your help, we can ensure that every mother and newborn receives the highest standard of care.By expanding the maternity ward, we aim to:

Increase the capacity to serve more mothers and babies.

Improve maternal and neonatal health outcomes.

Provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for childbirth.

Equip the ward with modern medical technology to handle complications effectively.

Our Goals

With your generous contributions, we plan to:

Add 2 new delivery rooms to reduce overcrowding and enhance patient comfort.

Purchase essential medical equipment and standard labor tools, including fetal monitors, and delivery beds.

Add curtains and/or partitions so new mothers and fathers can celebrate their new joy in privacy.

Create a family support area where mothers can receive prenatal and postnatal education and support.

Integrate computers into the system to provide efficient care while promoting better record keeping and reducing paperwork.

How Your Donation Will Make a Difference

Every dollar you donate will go directly towards:

Construction and Renovation: Building additional rooms and updating the current facilities to create a welcoming and efficient environment.

Medical Equipment: Provide modern technology to ensure safe and effective care for mothers and babies.

Family Support Facilities: Establish spaces where families can receive essential health education and support during pregnancy and after childbirth.

Our Progress and Vision

We have already laid the groundwork for this project and are eager to begin construction as soon as possible. Our vision is to create a maternity ward that offers a safe haven for mothers and their newborns, significantly reducing maternal and infant mortality rates in the region.
